The Food and Racial Equity Collective (F.A.R.E. Collective) seeks to create a space for social and political dialogue for self-identified graduate students of color in the Food Studies program at New York University. Our focus is the intersection of food, health, the environment, and social justice through engagement with local New York City communities and beyond. One of our goals is to create grounds for networking and mentorship opportunities with leaders of color in the food system. F.A.R.E. Collective’s approach is based on grassroots organizing, advocacy, and participatory research through workshops, panels, and professional development.

Starting Spring 2018, F.A.R.E. Collective is registered as an official NYU Steinhardt Graduate Student Organization.
